The morning started really good… evererybody recieved a Nexus One!!!! a gift totally free made by Google!!! so, as i say, very very good!!! The mobile phone at the moment doesn’t sell in Spain, so we’re the first in my country!!! 🙂 it’s really awesome!!! nothing to see with my “old” Dev Phone and Android 1.6…. Nexus One has 1GHz SnapDragon microprocessor.. so it’s how u have a little netbook on your hand!!!! Nexus’ screen is really big, 3’7″ much more than iPhone or other Android phones.. and the software.. for me the really important.. is great!!! animations, 3D effects, soft soft soft!!! 5 desktop.. contacts and phone caller are changed since the last versions.. in conclussion.. the best phone i’ve ever had!!
And the conference??? hehe ok ok!! it was really good and interesting, the first part Reto Meier (the Google Android Advocate in Europe, mid Asia and Africa) let us to play with our gift… and after time, he started to speak about Google, their bussines, the Android evolution in the world market, the future about this, and he answered a few questions done by the people.. at 11’30 was the break time, where we could speak with our partners, other people (people came from all parts of Spain..) and so on..
The second part was about the code (yeah finally!!!) Reto show us some code snippets about the sensors, live desktops, etc. and speak about how use these and some new ideas for develop.. in true.. this conference’s 2nd part, for me the most interesting, was too short.. the last hour of all was for the developers who have already advanced in their application showed him, and speak about it… it hurts for me,.. my application is begining, and i must learn much more…
Well, for finish, i must say that was a really good experience, free mobile phones for all, meet Reto Meier and learn from him.. and meet other people with the same interests than you..
Congratulations to Gsyc/Libresoft and Google for organize this event, and wishing to go more similar events about Android and/or Libre Software!!!!
Some pics about conference (sorry for the size.. i did this pics with my Dev Phone and the Facebook app for upload at the moment, but, i didn’t know that the app make the photos in a small resolution for better uploading process.. for the next time i already know.. 😉 ):
